Classification of Offenses

          Offenses are classified as minor, serious and very serious. Unless specifically defined, the offenses herein mentioned are understood in their ordinary sense.

 

A. Minor Offenses

 

1. Wearing incomplete or improper uniform

2. Not wearing ID in school

3. Playing inside the classroom during non-class time

4. Violation of off-limits areas

5. Littering

6. Tampering of bulletin and information/announcements

7. Destroying posters and stage backdrop

8. Running/shouting along corridors

9. Misbehavior during flag ceremony, the Angelus and 3 o’clock prayer

10. Not speaking in English

 

B. Serious Offenses

 

1. any form of cheating or dishonesty

2. Stealing or shoplifting within or even beyond school premises

3. Vandalism/graffiti

4. Forging/falsification and/or tampering of school records and documents.

5. Disrespect of authority like making faces, making “dirty signs” and answering back of teachers

6. Smoking or possession of cigarettes

7. Cutting classes

8. Use of obscene or offensive language (written or oral forms)

9. Possession of pornographic materials

10. Bullying

11. Leaving the campus during class hours without “off- campus” permit

12. Quarrelling with verbal assault/threatening

13. Any form of gambling within or even beyond the school campus

14. Drinking and/or possession of alcoholic drinks

15. Extortion

16. Fraternity

17. Unauthorized use of school name, seal/logo and school uniform

 

C. Very Serious Offenses

 

1. Possession of deadly weapons like firearms and bladed/pointed objects

2. Threatening or assaulting any person in the campus with the use of harm inflicting materials notwithstanding that such objects have been allowed for use in school activities

3. Use or possession of prohibited drugs

4. Addiction to prohibited drugs

5. Drug pushing
