General Guidlines for the Use of the Grade School IMC (Print-Section)

          All students, faculty and staff of Saint Agnes' Academy are entitled to use the Instructional Media Center and its resources subject to the following rules and regulations:

 

Library Service:

 

          Monday-Friday       -      7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. without noon break

          Saturday                -      8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon

          Summer vacation    -      8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

 

Control Procedures:

 

          Upon entrance, each pupil deposits his/her bag on the shelves provided. He/she may bring only paper, notebooks and pens.

 

Circulation Regulations:

 

1. In order to borrow books from the library, a pupil must have a library card, secured from the librarian.

 

2. Reference books may be borrowed overnight and returned the following morning before classes start.

 

3. Home reading and fiction books may be borrowed for a week and may be re-borrowed for another week.

 

4. General reference books, such as encyclopedia, almanacs and dictionaries are to be used in the reference

    section only.

 

5. Reference books with very limited copies are to be used in the library only. However, if badly needed special

    permission is given. Books must be returned the following day.

 

6. Magazines, Periodicals and Vertical file materials are not to be taken out of library.
