Proper Behavior in the Classroom

  • Order and cleanliness should be maintained at all times

  • Discussion in a group activity must be carried in moderate

  • tone in order not to disturb others.

  • Talking, moving around the classroom, calling on passers-by, etc. while waiting for the teacher must be avoided

  • Eating and drinking are not allowed in the classroom (for Grades 1-6). However, on rainy days, students may take their recess in the classroom

  • Personal necessities are done before classes begin. A student who really finds it necessary to leave the room should obtain a permission from the teacher. In the absence of the teacher, the student should ask permission from the Class President.

 

The Class President and Vice President should orderly lead the class

 

  • A student should rise and stand in attention and greet his/her teacher politely whenever the teacher enters/leaves the classroom. He/She should remain standing until told to do otherwise. The Principal or any other authority who enters the classroom through the front door should be greeted. There is no need to greet anybody who enters through the back door.
