Standard Operating Procedures for Out of School Activities

a. Preparation before the trip

 

1. Students must be oriented about objectives and the itinerary of the trip

 

2. Students must submit the reply slip with parent or guardian’s signature three days before the activity. STRICTLY no student will be allowed to join out-of-school activities without the reply slip or written permit from the parent or guardian

 

3. Field trip fee, if there is any, should be settled with the teacher-in-charge of the trip at least a day before the scheduled trip.

 

b. On the day of the trip

 

1. The student is expected to:

  • report to the teacher-in-charge of the trip on time
  • be in school uniform unless otherwise instructed by the teacher-in-charge of the trip
  • observe COURTESY and DISCIPLINE at all times
  • RESPECT REMINDERS on places visited
  • bring enough food (snacks and packed lunch)
  • bring extra school blouse/shirt, umbrella or raincoat
  • know who is the group’s first aider
  • report to the teacher any unusual happening or situation
  • always stay with his/her group
  • take good care of his/her belongings
  • come in the attire prescribed by the school. Wearing of expensive jewelries is not allowed
  • dispose waste materials properly. Each should provide a small plastic bag for his/her litters

 

c. Upon arrival

 

Upon arrival, all students debark in the campus. If any student wishes to be dropped along the main way, a written request from the parent or guardian should be presented to the adviser a day before the trip.

 

d. After the trip

 

1. Students are expected to share their insights about the places they visited when they go back to their classes through the subject area concerned. They are also expected to have answered all the guide questions given before the trip.

 

2. Intermediate students are encouraged to write Thank You letters to the persons in-charge of the place visited.

 

3. Students’ behavior is evaluated by the class during Homeroom Period.

 

e. Students not joining the trip

 

Students who are not joining the trip/activity are expected to be in school. They should stay at LRC to do researches about the places to be visited by the group. Reply slip indicating the reason for not joining the trip should be submitted to the class adviser one day before the scheduled trip.
