The Directress
The Directress, who shall be a member of the Congregation of the Missionary Benedictine Sisters, is nominated by the Superior of the Religious Community of St. Agnes’ Academy. Her appointment is confirmed by the Board of Trustees. The term of office is three (3) years with possible reappointment.
The Directress is the chief executive officer of the Academy. She shall have the following duties and powers to:
1. Appoint, promote, retire and dismiss employees of the Academy in accordance with its policies.
2. Make an annual report to the Board on the general condition of the school.
3. Present an annual budget to the Board of Trustees for approval.
4. Acquaint herself with the state, interest and needs of the institution.
5. Exercise general supervision of the Academy.
6. Prepare a long-range plan of development covering three (3) to five (5) years which will be submitted to
the Board of Trustees.
7. Submit a progress report on the affairs of the school to the Board of Trustees at the regular meeting
of the same.
8. Preside at the meeting of the advisory bodies and committees which she chairs.
9. Approve requisitions for equipment, supplies, etc. and requests for job orders from the different units
which require extraordinary expenditures.
10. Represent the Academy at public functions.
